Candidate's
Statement
I
will offer leadership to focus the Council on Shoreline’s
priorities and its commitment to prudent fiscal management
and open government. I proudly voted for the first phase
of the Aurora Corridor. Our vision has been vindicated by
the new vitality and economic development the design has
generated. I pledge support for the final phase of Aurora
with the current design.
I
support commercial investment with City support. The resulting
development will generate revenue for neighborhood

and for parks, including those purchased in last year’s bond issue,
without further burdening homeowners. It will also allow us to increase
funding to Shoreline’s seniors and low-income families. I will work
with other Council members to refocus on prudent fiscal management
and will not allow the continuation of the recent squandering of
our financial reserves.
My
family has lived in Shoreline for 20 years and our children attended
Shoreline schools. I have been a loyal community supporter and
have served on the School Board (1996-2001) and the City Council
(2003-2005). I am an experienced business manager and a business
and labor arbitrator and mediator who can facilitate orderly and
productive City Council proceedings. I would appreciate your vote
on Election Day.
